This page is devoted to all of the wonderful humanitarian & philanthropic efforts Jude undertakes, along with being a fantastic father to his three children. (That’s right. I said THREE. If that’s confusing, feel free to read the sidebar in the “About” section next to this. I do not acknowledge that accident as one of his children, but merely a financial burden for the next 18 years. Deal with it. Furthermore, there will NEVER be ANY pictures of said accident nor its whore of a mother on this blog.)

Jude Law

In 2009, actor Jude Law made an ailing girl’s dream come true. Erin, a 5-year-old Make-A-Wish recipient, clad In a gown worthy of Cinderella, was swept off her feet when the movie star escorted her to a ball where, among the 300 attendees, Erin was the guest of honor. It was a night she would never forget.

This display of compassion is just one of the many instances in which the Academy Award nominee uses his time and fame to help those in need. Along with his work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Jude is affiliated with charities including Friends of the Earth, Make Poverty History, the Rhys Daniels Trust, Breast Cancer Care and Wave Trauma Center.

Law has also lent his talent to causes about which he is passionate by performing in fundraisers for UNICEF andMacmillan Cancer Support. He put his artistic side to good use, painting works to be auctioned off to benefit the Willow Foundation and Education Africa. He is also an avid supporter of thePride of Britain awards, which recognize inspirational heroes: “What I do is very easy. I just get given lines and read them to a camera. But the recipients of the Pride of Britain awards have achieved something incredible and show great inner strength.”

Law is also an advocate for peace, serving as an ambassador for Peace One Day, an organization which literally promotes one day of world peace a year. To encourage ceasefires around the globe, Law traveled to Kabul, Afghanistan, keeping an open diary of his experiences there for all to read on the Internet. He also helped make a documentary The Day After Peaceto raise awareness of World Peace Day.
